defines the beauty of entire region. When I was on my tour to Kanyakumari , during the month of March, 2009, I discovered the unmatched simplicity of this destination. The piece of land, enamored by sparkling blend of three oceans, most commonly known as Vivekananda rock, is nestled on the land of Kanyakumari only. Vivekananda meditated on this foot shaped rock for several months and finally, achieved salvation. When I touched that rock, I felt that some strange wave of music, flowed into my body. My soul suddenly yelled, to leave all the bad deeds and follow the pristine path, of truth and spirituality. But frankly speaking, I didn't felt like leaving that place, as I was bound because of shortage of time, I have to leave that place.

But in the evening, during some free time, I went to Vivekanandapuram, Thiruvalluvar Statue, Our Lady of Ransom Church and so on. I believe that if you are, staying any where in the world and haven't planned tour to India, yet, then you must pack your bags now and visit this region as soon as possible. You would fall in love, with India. India tour, is full of diversities and travelers could exclusively, explore the picturesque landscapes of South India. Padmanabhapuram Palace, Kamarajar Mani Mantapa Monument, Baywatch, Tsunami Monument are some of the destinations which could be visited by aspiring travelers, during their Kanyakumari tour. While on the India tour, visitors must taste the tongue tickling cuisines of this destination. Iddlis, sambar, dosai, are some of the aromatic cuisines, served at various hotels in Kanyakumari.

Spend your holidays at intriguing beaches of Goa

The sun spawning into the vast amalgam of oceans, presents the perfect picture of Goa in the minds of travelers, who wish to visit Goa, once in a life time. When I visited this destination, my all dreams were turned into the reality. Goa tour, is like a heaven, for all those travelers who are looking for complete fun and entertainment. When I visited this destination in the month of December, 2008, I was really stunned to see the complete make over, that this ravishing destination has gone through all these years. The night life of Goa, is so fascinating, that everyone from domestic to international travelers could be spotted in one of the best discotheques in Goa. During whole night till 1:00 AM, I enjoyed the thrills and frills of the entire ambiance of the discotheque. Early in the morning, as I had already planned my trip through a tour operator, so, I went to various destinations like Palolem Beach, Patnem Beach, Vagator Beach, Morjim and Asvem, Mandrem Beach, Candolim and Sinquerim Beaches, Colva Beach, Calangute Beach, Baga Beach and so on. The visit to these beaches, rejuvenated my senses and infused lots of positive energy in my soul.

Apart from this, my experience of Jungle safari was awesome and tempting. When I was traveling in jeep, along with the group of my friends, believe me, my heckles were arisen due to the strange kind of peace and my heart was throbbing, with fear. With in my heart I was constantly, praying to god, that ' oh my lord please stay with us and protect us from any kind of dangerous situation. But, yes, I was really thrilled and excited, to went through such an adventurous journey. Additionally, Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, Dona Paula, Fort Aguada, Calangute, Old Goa, home of famed sixteenth century churches, convents and monuments, are some of the destinations, that are worth visiting and must be visited by travelers while on a tour to India. The single sip of fenny on the scintillating beaches of Goa, could provide you an experience which is unmatched in all aspects. Being the regular visitor to Rishikesh, I found this destination quite pleasing and worth visiting. While on a tour to Rishikesh, travelers could explore the tranquil domains of this spiritual land. It is said that if you will take a bath in the holy river Ganges, then it is assured that all your bad sins, will be washed away forever. But according to various saints, the real meaning, conveyed by the goddess Ganges is that an individual could learn to become pristine and forgiving, for his entire life.India tour, consists of many such places, which leaves the travelers completely spellbound. Bharat Mandir, Neelkanth Mahadev Mela, Trayambakeshwar Temple, Lakshman Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Lakshman Jhula, Gita Bhavan are some of the destinations, which could heal their souls, with positive energies. Believe it or not, when I did meditation with my eyes closed on the bank of river Ganges, I felt that my soul was standing in front of God Shiva and was feeling a kind of peace.

This was completely one of the rarest experience I ever had in my whole life. Apart from my personal experiences, Rishikesh tour was full of fun and entertainment. I too had read about this marvelous hill station and decided to visit it. This region during the early 17 century was under the control of Nepali guerrillas, but at the time of war with Britishers, this region came under their control. There are various hundred year old British era building, which could remind the travelers about their own town or city. Governor’s House, Gurney House, St. Joseph's College are some of the historical monuments, which were build at the time of British rule but are now owned by government authorities in India. Apart from information about enriching British era,Jim Corbett National Park, Mukteshwar, Bhimtal Lake, Sattal ,Khurpa Tal, Naukuchia Tal, Hanumangarhi, are some of the destinations which are infused with equanimity and serenity.

When I visited these places, my senses were really filled with full of thrills and the continuous flow of chilly winds, raised my heckles. For the mean time, the sky rocketing mountains, the ubiquitous fog, was restricting me to move ahead but my will power was so strong, that even those obstacles had to bend in front of me. Similarly, the aspiring travelers, while on a tour to India, could explore these tranquil domains of the region and could share such experiences. Ranikhet, Bageshwar, Almora, Kausani, Pithoragarh, are the popular terrain regions nestled few miles away from Nainital. India tour is suffused with colors, traditions and holy hymns. So outbound travelers from America, Latin America, Europe would feel like they are back to their land, as India is such a nice country that every individual would see the reflection of their own country in it. Diversity in terms of various cultures adds new impression in the hearts of travelers and force them to know something more about this country.

Discover the tranquil domains—Visit Shimla

It was the month of mid October, when our land cruiser suddenly got trapped in the debris and we were completely in a fix, that what should we do now? Finally, the guide accompanying me, built up my confidence and at very next moment, I ran on the flat surface of the hill and touched the vast horizons of the sky. Similar, moments have been experienced by my fellow friends who have explored these adventure sports for the first time.

Hence whenever, I watch any flying creature, it again reminds me about the para gliding and fills my senses with lots of thrills. Delhi tour, which has gone through complete make over the years, the roaring metro train, the subways, the beautiful pedestrians, marvelous historical monuments are some of the traits which have given new identity to the city. When I traveled for the first time to Delhi I was really stunned to see the series of changes that city has gone through during all these years. The world class infrastructure, broad roads, splurging malls, foot over bridges are some of the factors that defines the dazzling ambiance of the city. Tour to Delhi, could be the most hilarious experience for all those travelers who are really keen to explore the different pockets of city.

The National science museum, Doll Museum, Nehru Palnetarium, Connaught Place, Khan Market, Chandni Chowk are some of some of the destinations which attracts great number of domestic as well as international travelers. Chandni Chowk is the well known dome of aromatic cuisines and cultures, which can be exclusively explored by the people who are eager to peep into its past. This small town is known for its traditional food and its mouth watering flavors of different delicacies still knock my mind to visit this place again and again. The city which was once the throne of many Rajput kings, and today their stories could be found imprinted in golden texts of various historical books. The thought of visiting the vast forts and palaces really filled my senses with lot of excitement. Tour to Jaipur, could take any traveler to the glorious past of the region. During my tour to Jaipur, I traveled to Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, City Palace,Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal, Chokhi Dhani and many other places. The first impression of these historical monuments left a great impact on my mind. I wasn't able to stop myself from thinking about these palaces. The travelers could stay in different hotels in Jaipur according to their comfort and convenience. Moreover, hotels in Jaipur, once the throne of kings are being turned into five star hotels and provide luxurious living to travelers, where the hospitality standards are completely unmatched.

But in contrast I would like to recommend all aspiring travelers, that irrespective of their costs, once in a lifetime they must stay in five star hotels in Jaipur. The well furnished marble floors, water fountains, rooms designed in mughal style would make you feel that you are back into that era, when the lifestyle was quite defined and superior in every aspect. These destinations fill colors into the imagination of travelers who have read about the fairy tales of various kings and the saga of most brutal battle fought by them in Rajasthan. Similarly, I have read lot of stories about these kings and at the very next moment, I boarded the train to Jaipur and reached, to see it all by myself.

On my way some of the passengers even narrated stories about ghosts but being the city dweller I never believed on such stories. But friends don't worry, the hotels in Jaipur, are equipped with 24 hours security, manicured spa's, swimming pool and so on. The tongue tickling delicacies prepared by popular chef of Jaipur, adds new charm in the mind of travelers to visit this destination just to satisfy their taste buds, and carry that evoking aroma along with them while leaving Jaipur.

Gorgeous Goa

The shinning Emerald of India, Goa is the beautiful state enamored with captivating sea-shores, coconut trees, and architectural buildings. The name 'Khandala' gained popularity when the famous bollywood star Aamir Khan sang the song 'aati kya Khandala' wooing his beloved. But also, for most of the north Indians the name Khandala sounds as if a place belonging to the bygone era of rugged forts and palaces. But on arrival, it is actually unbelievable to find a heaven so quietly residing here.

Tired of the daily routine, our group of friends decided to go for India tour but due to lack of time, the destination with the shortest distance came to our minds. Offering the most spectacular views, surrounded by beautiful hills and valleys, visit to Khandala brought us close to the nature. Once we reached Khandala, the journey became even more exciting, driving pass through the enticing surroundings. Beautiful pictures, came flashing back to my mind of all the places that I have stepped on. What I'm thinking now is of what makes me pen down about all the places that I have traveled during India Tour and publish the blog or an article. Surprisingly, I know the answer myself.

India a country so vast, diverse and beautiful cannot be just stored in the mind, heart or even the photographs. The journey of the beautiful places that I have traveled remain fresh and alive even after so many years that it becomes necessary for me to share the information with everyone. Be it the pushes in the local buses and the jumpy-bumpy road drive or motion sickness while climbing up the mountains and the suntan on the beaches. On the other hand, the beautiful roads leading to some unexplored destinations, spectacular mountains, exotic locations, scenic drive and quiet and serene valleys, India is blessed by natural beauty in every sense. Every destination holds a special meaning, like a discovery of another heaven on earth. So, why blog? Primarily because it is small in content and gets over in fewer lines and then you actually do not have to be politically correct while writing it. It is one's own views, in fact in other words it is freedom of expression that lets your creativity flow. All my blogs describe straight from my eyes all the beautiful places in India that I have toured. But then on the second thought, if we sum up the general opinion about India and its most popular tourists destinations, then it would prove that such is the charisma of this country that overwhelms every heart and mind.

I don't know whether you'll agree with me on this or not and that is exactly what I want to know from you. What you feel about the blogs on India Tour that I have written so far. This is indeed a country that has many features, states, aspects and all this under one roof and this is the sole reason why in the past, the country has seen increase in the footfalls of the visitors.

Extraordinary things at ordinary price, of course for outbound tourists, the country is a delight for the eyes as well as for the pocket. For tourists visiting India , the trip is more than just holidaying. Perhaps it is exploring the country that offers spectacular mountains, beautiful beaches, historical episodes echoing in the rugged forts and palaces , stunning temples and churches, wildlife, hand-made crafts and artifacts(extincting from the rest of the world) etc. From spiritual to adventurous, nature's splendor, beauty that may besiege heart and mind, you'll be hooked on to the country for various reasons but the hospitality, love and care of the Indians will leave you awestruck. Famous Hollywood actress Kate Winslet is one such loyal visitor who came for India tour post the success of the movie 'Titanic'. She was so mesmerized by the people that she has found a new home here and even after so many years she keeps coming back to taste the flavors of India.

This is also a reminder for all those who still think of India as an old oriental country of snake charmers, poverty, beggars. Today,India stands as a nation with whom the rest of the world wants to develop cordial relationship. A country that will stand tall in another few years, or ever taller than other developed nations in terms of industrialization and growth. That's the charisma of this nation, which has drawn interest of the foreigners to tour India centuries and decades ago and still continue to do so.

NEW YEAR EVE CELEBRATIONS

On 31st December, as everyone in the office quickly pack their bags to rush to party all night, Delhi is also ready to embrace you in its jam struck roads. While warming up dancing, drinking, eating and doing all that included in the package (squeezing out every penny that you spent on this party) you get into the mood to let your hair down and jive all night.

As the clock strikes twelve in the midnight, everyone joins together to count the countdown, clasp their hands to make noise, party, dance and cheers to mark the beginning of the New Year, because in India it well said that what you do in the first moment on the first day, will happen throughout the whole year. 'God's own country' Kerala offers so many unique things that sometimes it gets difficult to choose what to first opt for. Be it the beautiful beaches, experince of houseboat, backwaters, cultural aspects, adventure, even getting romantic with the partner or may be with the nature, it is all so unimaginable. God has really been kind on Kerala for making it so picturesque and people of Kerala have been responsible for making it so exquisite.

The state government leaves no stone unturned in providing comfortable and relaxing stay for the tourists. The joy of traveling to India, that too to one of the incredible states is like a dream come true. It may sound pompous but as everyone around is changing towards natural way of living, so was my purpose to visit Kerala a place endowed with the heritage use of ayurveda and yoga, that actually brought back my lost spirits. That was one thing I would always love going back to. Traveling all the way to south may sound tiring to some but the moment you are there, the enchanting and breathtaking view takes away all the pain and justifies your decision to be there. So, visit to Kerala is a thumb-up.

For more information on kerala tours visit -: http://www.travelmasti.com/

FUN IS WHERE GOA IS...

Ever wondered what it takes to be just what you want to be, no strings attached, no questions asked and all this in the midst of nature’s best and in the most casual frame of mind…It takes just a few rags and a pair of slip-ons.

Welcome to Goa, a place where no one really cares what you look like or what you wear. All you need is an appetite for fun and some soaring spirits to enjoy beyond your imagination. The city of dreams, Mumbai, has gained importance not only because it is the financial hub of India but also because of the presence of the film industry that has always wooed artists from small towns who come to fulfill their most cherished dreams. The city that never sleeps, is mushroomed with people pursuing their interests and business. The attacks indubitably shook those dreams but only for sometime till the wounds will heal, as Mumbai will overcome every scar it has suffered.

Mumbai does not have a heritage value with it but the famous Taj Mahal hotel near Gateway of India, one of the most popular hotels in Mumbai, allures tourists, globally. Each of these destinations has a rich history from times of former Hindu, Mughal & British rulers of India.

The tour started from Delhi, which is an interesting amalgamation of the fascinating experiences. This old and yet very young capital of India was bristling with energy. Lots of construction in all the parts (most of it due to Metro Lines being laid for upcoming commonwealth games) made navigating through this busy metropolis very difficult – but we enjoyed every moment nevertheless.

Delhi is a hundreds of years old capital of the country and as per some accounts the history stretches back thousands of years from the time of Mahabharata (an ancient Indian scripture). The city is dotted with structures (& ruins) of historic, medieval times from its rich past.

Is it safe to travel to India?

First there were floods and then the bomb blasts - so the question on lots of people minds (who were thinking of traveling to India) is whether it is safe to travel to India. Clearly the questions are very valid and the fear tangible. However India continues to be a very safe destination for tourists and we aim to answer such questions through this article.

India is a large country and incidents happening in one part of the country do not impact another. Lets start with the flood situation. The floods are localised in parts of Bihar, which is a state in north India. Bihar is not significant from tourism perspective other than places like Gaya, known for their rich Buddhist history. So far floods in Bihar have impacted the districts of Ararea, Purnea, Madhepura, Saharsha and Kursaila.

Also in late September there has been heavy rainfall in Himachal which has had some effect on normal life in Shimla and adjoining hills, but again these incidents are far and remote inbetween and effect travel during a certain timeperiod only.

The September bomb blasts in Delhi and those earlier in Gujarat have been a cause of concern for general population and the tourists alike. So far though, the impact on everyday life & business has been low. Also the investigative agencies have made progress and nabbed those behind the blasts, which surely should act as some deterrent.

Till the situation improves, it is advisable to follow safety precautions such as avoiding crowded places and bazaars, being vigilant while using busy public transport such as trains & buses, not making friends with complete strangers etc, taking good care of your personal and precious belongings etc.

Overall the situation all over India remains peacefull and conducive to travel and tourism. One way of judging the overall mood is by looking at the domestic (Indian) tourism sector -where there has been good growth & the travel traffic looks all set to increase again in the coming fall and winter travel season.

Durga Pooja : Dussehra

The last four days of Sharad Navratri are celebrated as Durga Puja in West Bengal (in East India). This is the biggest festival of the year in this state. Exquisitely crafted and decorated life-size clay idols of the Goddess Durga depicting her slaying the demon Mahisasura are set up in temples and other places. These idols are then worshipped for five days and immersed in the river on the fifth day.

In the South Indian states of Tamil Nadu & Karnataka, Sharad Navratri is celebrated by setting up of Golu or Bombegalu. It is believed that this was a means to invite people home to celebrate the festivities with them. In Karanataka, particularly Mysore on the 10th day the enacting of destruction of evil (Ravana destroyed by Rama) is displayed with the lighting of dolls representing Ravana and forces of evil.

In West India, Sharad Navratri is celebrated with the famous Garba dance. Garba is a circular dance performed by women around an earthenware pot called a garbo. As the dancers whirl around the pot clapping in a steady rhythm with a singer and a drummer provide the musical accompaniment. Another popular form of dance is Dandia-ras or 'stick' dance, in which men and women join the dance circle, holding small polished sticks or dandias. As they whirl to the rhythm of the dance, men and women strike the dandias together.

Another popular celebration of the festival happens in Kullu also known as the valley of Living Gods. A festival procession carrying the idol of Lord Ragunath is led by the Kullu Raja and village deities. The procession starts a week of religious ceremonies, cultural activities, socializing and shopping at the huge bazaar.

Celebration In India

With a vast multitude of religions, geographies and climates - there is no shortage of reasons to keep celebrating in India. In the very first post I will tell you about very important celebrations coming up in October .
The first festival which is coming is "Navratri Festival".

Sharad Navratri Festival
Celebrations: Throughout India
Date: Beginning Of October

Sharad Navratri or Maha Navratri is a Hindu festival of worship and dance. Sharad means "winter" & Navaratri means "nine nights" in Sanskrit. During these nine nights and ten days at the onset of winters, nine forms of female divinity are worshipped.

The festival is celebrated during the beginning of October the exact dates determined by the lunar calendar. Sharad Navratris are celebrated in different ways throughout India. In North India, Sharad Navratris are celebrated with much fervor by fasting on all nine days and worshipping the Goddess Parvati in her different forms. The festival culminates in Durga Puja and Dussehra (means "ten days").

The foreign travellers show a great interest in the cultural and heritage tour of India.India is known for its diverse culture and tradition.

The rest of the festival will be discussed in next post.
